Question for Employment Lawyers: Criminal convictions disclosure

by robertelias68 on May 23, 2012

I was turned down for a job today with South Eastern Trains due to a criminal damage conviction back in 2004 that was dealt with via a compensation payment. It has never stopped me working with children or vulnerable adults in the past. In the job advert it does not state anything about convictions and during the telephone interview that I passed i informed them of the convictions and that I had a current CRB

Can anyone advise?

thanks

Robert
